Multidisciplinary Tuzhi Art Festival

The Tuzhi Art Festival is conceived as an annual summer event of federal significance, defining the Tuzhi Land Art Park as a new point on the cultural map of the country and a place of international tourist attraction.

The festival continues to follow the values of the park — the preservation of the unique culture of the Buryat people, the combination of traditional and modern, respect for nature and native roots.

The Art Foundation team, together with the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, is creating an extensive program that unites all types of art. The leaders of the Russian art community present new sculptural works, reflecting on the connection of man with nature, sacred meanings and eternal values.

The theater program intertwines local legends with modern forms of storytelling, musical projects sound in the Buryat language in the natural landscape of the park, and sound installations allow you to hear the voice of the land of Transbaikalia itself.

The public program invites guests to talk about how to create modern projects based on local stories and contexts.

The Festival features an extensive children's program with workshops and a fair of works by local craftsmen. The festival becomes a living space of dialogue between the past and the future, tradition and modernity.

In the valley of the Khilok River, in a place where until 2021 there was only an endless steppe, a unique world has emerged — the Tuzhi Land Art Park. This is not just an open-air museum, but a living dedication to Dasha Namdakov's native land.

On July 26, 2025, an unusual event combining ecology, art and traditions took place in the Tuzhi Land Art Park in Transbaikalia. Instead of the annual Tuzhi Art art festival, which was canceled due to fires that attacked Transbaikalia in the spring and early summer, the organizers held a Circle of Life campaign to plant 108 trees in the shape of a circle with a diameter of 70 meters.
